Privacy Policy

The short version

Plateside does not collect any information about you. It has no account, no sign-in and no advertising. Your workouts stay on your iPhone and your Apple Watch. The only thing it sends is an anonymous count of a few moments in the app, which cannot identify you (section 5).

1. Who we are

Plateside is made by 0ARCH, based in Miami, Florida. You can reach us at support@0arch.io.

2. What the app stores, and where

Your program, training maxes, workouts and settings are saved only on your iPhone and Apple Watch, in the app's own storage. They are included in your normal device backup if you have iCloud Backup turned on, which is handled by Apple under Apple's terms. We never see this data and cannot access it. If you export your history as a CSV file, that file goes wherever you choose to send it.

3. iPhone and Apple Watch

The workout in progress travels between your iPhone and your Apple Watch over Apple's device-to-device link so both show the same sets. That link does not go through any server of ours.

4. Purchases

Plateside Pro is a one-time purchase handled entirely by Apple through the App Store. We receive no personal details about you from that purchase. Apple's privacy policy covers it.

5. Network access

Starting with version 1.0.1, Plateside sends anonymous counts of a few moments in the app, such as "the app was opened", "a workout was finished" or "the rating prompt was shown", so we can tell which parts of the app are working. Each report contains only the app's name, the event name and whether it came from the App Store or a test build. It contains no name, no device or advertising identifier, no install identifier, and nothing you entered. Our server adds one to a daily counter for that event and keeps nothing else. Our host, Cloudflare, necessarily sees the IP address of the connection in order to deliver the request, but we do not log or store it, so the numbers can never be traced back to you or your device. The data is not used for advertising and is not shared with anyone.

Apart from that and the App Store purchase check above, the app makes no network requests.

6. Children

Plateside is a general-purpose training log and is not directed at children. It collects no personal information from anyone, including children.

7. Changes

If a future version of Plateside ever collects or sends information, this page will say so before that version ships, and the date at the top will change.
