Privacy Policy

The short version

Sideline does not collect any information about you. It has no account, no sign-in and no advertising. Your games stay on your iPhone and your Apple Watch. The only thing it sends is an anonymous count of a few moments in the app, which cannot identify you (section 4).

1. Who we are

Sideline is made by 0ARCH, based in Miami, Florida. You can reach us at support@0arch.io.

2. What the app stores, and where

The current game, your past games, and the names you type for teams and players are saved only on your iPhone and Apple Watch, in the app's own storage. They are included in your normal device backup if you have iCloud Backup turned on, which is handled by Apple under Apple's terms. We never see this data and cannot access it.

3. iPhone and Apple Watch

The score travels between your iPhone and your Apple Watch over Apple's device-to-device link so both show the same game. That link does not go through any server of ours.

4. Network access

Starting with version 1.0.1, Sideline sends anonymous counts of a few moments in the app, such as "the app was opened", "a match was finished" or "the rating prompt was shown", so we can tell which parts of the app are working. Each report contains only the app's name, the event name and whether it came from the App Store or a test build. It contains no name, no device or advertising identifier, no install identifier, and nothing you entered. Our server adds one to a daily counter for that event and keeps nothing else. Our host, Cloudflare, necessarily sees the IP address of the connection in order to deliver the request, but we do not log or store it, so the numbers can never be traced back to you or your device. The data is not used for advertising and is not shared with anyone.

Apart from that, the app makes no network requests.

5. Children

Sideline is a general-purpose scorekeeper and is not directed at children. It collects no personal information from anyone, including children.

6. Changes

If a future version of Sideline ever collects or sends information, this page will say so before that version ships, and the date at the top will change.
