Typing measurements

• Type the number, then the unit key: 12 ft 6 in 3 / 8 gives 12' 6 3/8".
• A number after ft with no unit is inches: 12 ft 6 is 12' 6".
• A fraction on its own is a fraction of an inch: 3 / 8 is 3/8".
• A number with no unit is just a number, so 12 ft × 2 works and 12 ft + 2 does not.
• Feet times feet gives square feet; three lengths give a volume. Tap the answer to change units.
• Hold m for centimeters and millimeters.

Fractions round differently than expected

Answers round to the fraction set in Settings (1/8, 1/16, 1/32 or 1/64). The math underneath keeps full precision, so a chained calculation stays exact even if a step displays rounded.

Sawhorse Pro

Pro is a single purchase that unlocks sharing and PDF export. There is no subscription. If you bought it and it shows as locked on another device, open Settings and tap Restore purchasewhile signed into the same Apple account. Refunds are handled by Apple at reportaproblem.apple.com.

What the tools assume

• Stairs: risers split the total rise evenly; defaults are a 7 3/4" maximum riser and a 10" tread (IRC). Check your local code.
• Rafters: line lengths from the ridge plumb cut to the outside of the wall, half the ridge thickness already deducted, hips and valleys for equal pitches.
• Concrete: bag yields are the printed ones, 80 lb = 0.60 cu ft, 60 lb = 0.45, 40 lb = 0.30. Order ready-mix with waste; count bags without it.
• Board feet: nominal sizes unless your yard prices by actual size.
• Studs: wall length divided by spacing, rounded up, plus one; corners and openings are yours to add.

Sawhorse is a calculator, not a code book or an engineer. Verify anything structural before you cut.
